Welcome to MAGIC Programs

Our mission is to transform the community and youth through the MAGIC of collaboration.

BE A PART OF OUR MISSION

During the summer months, we annually serve over 3,000 participants in combating summer learning loss which disproportionately impacts youth of color and low-income communities. We financially support and host 20 impactful events that bring together multiple youth serving organizations. These summer events provide a safe and nurturing environment for youth and their communities to build relationships, explore San Francisco’s hidden gems, and exposure to literacy, art, and STEM enrichments.

Your generosity makes it possible for us to continue to financially host our summer program.

OUR VISION

MAGIC Programs envisions communities where all children and families have the same opportunities to learn, play, work, and live joyful and productive lives, with a criminal justice system and public institutions that work for them, not against them.

20TH ANNIVERSARY

Since 2004, the MAGIC Programs have served over 300,000 children, youth and their families, within the Bayview Hunters Point & the Fillmore/Western Addition neighborhoods. We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary that highlighted the history, work and vision for MAGIC, including speakers such as former MAGIC Executive Directors, founders, and program participants.

OUR WORK

MAGIC Programs’ overarching objective is to prevent juvenile contact with the juvenile and criminal justice system by empowering community organizations to solve systemic problems. We partner with nonprofit organizations and service providers that focus on the educational, economic, health, and juvenile justice needs of disadvantaged children, youth, and their families.
