What to Expect
During the walking tour, you’ll: Walk approximately 2.2 miles within 90 minutes. Explore three main topics in the Yosemite Slough Neighborhood Adaptation Plan—open space, community, and business. The tour will include stops at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, a nearby business, the Southeast Health Center, and along residential streets. Hear from several speakers—California State Parks, California State Parks Foundation, community leaders, business owners, technical experts, and SF Planning. Learn about the Yosemite Slough Neighborhood Adaptation Plan, including the planning timeline and other opportunities to engage. Learn about previous shoreline restoration efforts and neighborhood planning. Learn about potential adaptation solutions for sea level rise and flooding in the watershed. Share your experiences and priorities for the future of the neighborhood.
