Breastfeeding Our Community
SisterWeb San Francisco Community Doula Network is proud to announce our first ever “Breastfeeding* Our Community” event hosted by TaNefer: L. Camara, MS-HCA, IBCLC. Our 3-part event is free to the public and will provide educational opportunities to learn about the history, misconceptions, and benefits of breastfeeding. This event is for EVERYONE: all genders, all community members, aunties, uncles, grandmothers, grandfathers, and friends! You don’t have to be pregnant or a parent. You just need to be interested in learning and ways you can support someone in your life now or in the future. We will provide hands-on training with real techniques that can be used to encourage and implement breastfeeding. Our goal is to restore the significance of breastfeeding and empower our community through education. We look forward to seeing you there! Refreshments will be served.
